I am having a similar issue. I am using an external LCD monitor to connect to my laptop. External Monitor LG W2286L (1680x1050)
The challenge that I am facing is I can set the resolution to 1680x1050 which is the highest but after a reboot it goes back to 1024x768. And then it doesn't give me option to change the resolution back to anything higher. Laptop is Lenovo X200 lspci 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 07) Xserver: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.9.1-3ubuntu5 If I disconnect the external monitor, reboot and then re-connect then I can set the display resolution but if I reboot, the settlings is lost and it drops back to 1024x768 and doesn't allow me to increase it to higher. -- Switching between notebook and external display doesn't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/404911 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
