Yes a subwoofer or you can call it a 3rd speaker if you want. It's a good feature since most of Laptop have very small speakers more like twiters you have a litle bit more bass. :-)
My Laptop is actually a ACER 8735G and have a ALC665 if I can rely on what I find in the internet. I attached the Pinout of that chipset. The LFE is located on pin 44.
