I got home from work (after working all day with my samsung lcd running off the vga port on the docking station - which wasn't working before) to find problems with my cheap-as-chips chi-mei lcd.
The machine booted OK with the above kernel. But at the login screen, the external monitor displayed an error saying "out of range" (instead of the "no device connected" message). Attempting to log in to the box caused gdm/X to crash and I was sent back to the greeter screen. I disconnected the monitor, logged in, reconnected the monitor, ran xrandr and the original system lock reared its ugly head once again. Is there any log information that you need? I'm running a Latitude E6410.
