jonie: after using your patched udev I got a partial success: 1. Inserting blank CD-R into my drive 2. Popup dialog appears letting me choose what I want to do with the empty CD and blank CD icon appears on the desktop (this is a good progress comparing my original situation) 3. Opening Brasero and choose to burn a data CD. 4. Brasero immediately reports that the CD does not have enough space and does not let me continue with burning process.
Do you think this is still related to udev or is it now Brasero issue? I tried with more CDs to make sure it is not CD problem.
