I finally got my sound input working by following the steps you outlined here. Have you had any other issues with your Mobo? I rma'd mine once due to losing my ethernet link between the mobo & modem. This happens very infrequently-maybe once a month. The only way I've found to correct this is to shutdown the computer, then remove power for about 1 minute, reapply power then restart computer. A simple reboot won't work. Asus tech support can't help-they suggested a possible bad solder point. That might seem reasonable once, but twice? I also got a new modem from Qwest. (my internet provider) Another issue I've had is the irqbalance causing loss of keyboard/mouse control. I've seen from several posts that this type of mobo seems to be re-occuring. Thanks again for your help. Dan
