Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pidgin-libnotify

This is not a bug, I just want to point on an impractical, in my
opinion, default setting.

Currently the plug-in enables "Buddy signs on" notifications by
default. I have only about 20-30 buddies and turn this option off right
after install, just because otherwise I got "buddy sings on"
notification every 10 minutes, which is quite annoying. I found a couple
of threads on the Ubuntu forum from people with the same issue. Finally,
I believe that most people who have large buddy list turns this option
off soon after installation anyway or they will be buried under such
notifications.

Do we really need to turn buddy signs on notification by default?

** Affects: pidgin-libnotify (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
