Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: nautilus
Nautilus seems to be having real trouble generating thumbnails, hanging
totally when it encounters some files. It would be better if Nautilus
realised it was stuck and carried on without making thumbnails (I can
live without them). Setting to never show thumbnails works around the
problem.
It's possible that this may be caused by browsing a Link To diectory
with Inkscape SVG files that link to PNG images in the same Link To
directory, or an unusual TIF header.
