Binary package hint: wifi-radar
Just for fun, I left wifi-radar open during my morning commute ...
(It became unresponsive when it had been running for some ten to twenty
minutes. I guess that's not how it's supposed to be used, so not
reporting that as a bug.)
Some of the access points along the way had long names, and the dialog
box would grow to accommodate them. This is a problem because somebody
could basically DoS you by giving their access point a really long name;
when the dialog grows enough, you can no longer access the close buttons
on the title bar and in the dialog itself.
If you're knowledgeable with Linux and the command line, you can at
least switch to a terminal and kill wifi-radar, but not all users are
like that.
Anyway, as a simple workaround, it would be useful (for other reasons
too) if the columns in the dialog box were resizable.
