The good news is, it can be solved by changing a line in /etc/cups/printers.conf on the Mac. I would never have found the solution without your kind help, Till :-). Next post here is a HOWTO on how to print from Mac OS X to (K)Ubuntu, without experiencing the "Gutenprint detected a bad color depth (1). Output quality is degraded. Are you using psnup or non-ADSC PostScript?" problem. I hope it will help anyone experiencing the same issue. -- Print quality degraded when printing from a Mac onto a CUPS server under Ubuntu https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/511550 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
