I'd like to note that the "fix" I posted is more of a workaround. The touchpad works more like a ps2 mouse and adjusting sensitivity settings etc doesnt work. Sometimes, the mouse seems to jump around and it can be hard to control where it goes. I am guessing there will eventually be a "proper" solution to the missing driver but this workaround does work in the meantime
