Hi Mathieu,

"no DHCP",
I meant that my installation was not set up to use DHCP (as you can
see in the next line of my bug-report, that I configured the IP-setup
manually).

"no DNS available"
I configured the IP-setup manually, i.e. with a IP-address,
subnet-mask and gateway-address for the eth0 and IP-addresses for two
DNS-servers (which, just to avoid extra misunderstanding, all worked
fine for my Win7 installation, also manually configured).
But when the UNE tries to communicate, it has no DNS-servers available.
When I typed the IP-address myself, e.g. in a web-browsers
address-line or gave nslookup a DNS-server, the traffic got through.

I can't give you excerpts from the logs, as I gave up on the
Wubi-installation.
The bug recurred after two reboots and among many other things the
screen wasn't detected and the resolution couldn't be set manually to
correct values, the sound was rather bad and video and movie-showing
was very erratic.
BTW, I have used the same CD to install the UNE in it's own partition,
with a separate swap-partition. It works, though it can't detect the
screen and movie showing also is useless.
The kernel version is 2.6.32-24-generic at the moment. I can't
remember which version was running when I submitted the report, but
everything was fully updated, using Update Manager tool.
My HW is an Acer Aspire one, BIOS V0.3211, 1 GB RAM, 1366 x 768 screen
(1366 not 1368).
The Hardware Drivers tool can't detect any propriety drivers.

regards gerti
