Binary package hint: xorg
Since X Server 1.9 update, X won't start anymore :
* Using normal boot sequence: stuck after a few seconds on splashscreen
* Using recovery mode: stuck on a black screen before the "what do you want to
do" blue menu
The only way I've found to have some display is to add "nomodeset" to
the recovery grub line, then launch a failsafe X session.
I'm using a Dell Vostro 1500 with a nVidia GeForce 8600M GT graphics
card. Tried with nouveau, nVidia 256.35 from repos, nVidia 256.44 from
PPA and nVidia website, no success. "nv" driver seems to work hardly.
