We are closing this bug report because it appears to have been fixed in
the latest release, Xubuntu 10.04. Please reopen it if you can give us
the missing information, and don't hesitate to submit bug reports in the
future. To reopen the bug report you can click on the current status,
under the Status column, and change the Status back to "New".
I don't know when this was fixed, but libgeos-dev now installs in Ubuntu
10.04.

Can n ot install package libgeos-dev 3.1.0-1 as it depends on libgeos-c1, which
seems to be a karmic package
