Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

I have Ubuntu 10.04 updated regularly on a HP nw8240 notebook with ATI
FireGL V5000. I am using opensource radeon driver. Work in a dualmonitor
configuration 90% of the time.

When Openoffice is on the external monitor (second monitor) and I open
some dialog box, not every text label is shown, some components are not
drawn fully and it is impossible change the parameters in the dialog
box. If I move the dialog box to the built-in monitor screen it still
shown as garbage but after going to other tab or hovering over it with
the mouse it will partly redraw and show as it was intented.

If the dialog box opens directly on the built-in monitor than it is all
ok temporarily, if I move it to the secondary monitor and forge it to
repaint parts it will not be ok againt.

This happens both with the Openoffice package from Ubuntu repositories
and also with manually installed deb packages of openoffice 3.3 beta
from the openoffice.org site. The situation got even worse with the 3.3
beta, and where the regular ubuntu provided openoffice had only problems
with some text and button labels, the dialogs in the 3.3 beta are
almost completely unreadable.

I will attach a screenshot.

Other applications do not have this problem (for example Thunderbird,
Firefox, GIMP, Eclipse,...)
