Since the crash, I chose to use Acronis Disk Manager to make the necessary
partitions, and re-installed Ubuntu again, this time with no problems, but
not using GParted.
I ended uup losing the Win2000 partition, and had to re-install it again.

I lost all the ubuntu log files....

However, the GParted process should check for hidden/inactive partitions and
tell the user to switch, do you agree ?
