Im no quite sure if I can still help you/us because i have already migrated to
next version... needed some of other upgrades.
but hrer is what I have right now
/etc/mysql/my.cnf only the line with user was changed from root to other
username
/etc/mysql/conf.d/ was in default state (empty?)
/etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.mysqld
/etc/apparmor.d/abstractions/mysqld both were in default state
ls -l /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.mysqld* > /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.mysqld
and /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.mysqld-akonadi
no other /etc/mysql/conf.d/ files (hand modified)
