There have been bugs in package installations concerning KARMIC and
LUCID. I have been switching distros constantly since I have been
plagued with these install-time bugs (corrupted debian packages
downloaded via APT/Synaptic tool.

This concerns me greatly... How much of your package archives have been
affected with such destructive bugs??? Will this continue?...affecting
more and more packages from your repositories??? I shudder to think your
repositories have been breached and are now corrupted, either randomly
or, worse yet, on a widespread/spreading scale.

Please make sure my fears are not the case for added concern. I would
think such maladies are the domain and bane of existence of Microsoft
and their ilk. Please let it NOT be the same road Ubuntu Linux will
follow, in suffering.
