This is caused by some "Exec format error" in underlying dependencies. I
would guess that there is a corrupted executable on your system. At any
rate, VLC cannot install due to missing/broken underlying libraries,
which as far as VLC is concerned, is correct behavior. In other words,
this is not a VLC bug.
