Public bug reported:
If you attempt to install Ubuntu to a flash drive, without changing the
"advanced" settings in the last step, the bootloader on will install on
/dev/sda aka your hard drive AND NOT YOUR FLASH DRIVE. Every user new to
ubuntu expects that if he chooses /dev/sdb as the installation media
during partitioning the bootloader will install on the same device. But
that is not the case. Therefore, here is the proposal:
During the partiitoning step, if a user chooses anything but the
internal hdd, at the end he must be asked where he wants to install the
bootloader. OR better yet, ask for the bootloader in the partitioning
step.
