I can confirm this bug also, it has happened to me many times and has resulted in data loss. The system doesn't freeze at the same point during transfers but does freeze 75% of the time when copying large files. I consider this to be very serious. Of all the things that could go wrong when copying (or moving) files, a freeze that causes data to be lost is among the worst. Please give this a look.
