Public bug reported:
I had Lucid Lynx on my computer and an Nvidia graphics card (pretty new)
and I'v been using it since July. On August 15 I updated my lucid to a
maverick. a dialog came up during the installation before restart that
said there were packages that should be deleted. It asked me if I wanted
to delete them. I said yes, delete them. When I restarted my computer it
didn't boot. it froze at the point where it says ubuntu with red dots.
