Oh, I beg pardon, but I tried gathering information as you suggested after I had fixed the bug in a way described in the bug report itself (by running the script mentioned there). I just hadn't thought to gather my system info before I fixed the bug. I have no problems with sound any longer, but the bug remains, and I thought the system info would help to find out why it happened in the first place, and whether it occurs only with particular hardware, such as my Asus Eee PC 1015P.
