When setting partial ownership/permission parameters (such as forcing a gid without defining a uid), you are bound to have problems because the rights cannot be evaluated properly. Do not forget that even on ntfs (unless you use an old ntfs-3g version), you can use normal Linux permissions. This however requires some effort, and reading the manual may be useful.
