Public bug reported:
Feisty installed from CD. Went through 2 update passes, latest being 3/27 -
Attempted to book on 3/28. System gets to point of starting X (prior to login
window) then hangs. Unable to Ctrl-Alt through alternate console windows.
Xorg.0.log complains that /dev/fb0 through /dev/fb7 are missing. (Who
stole them?)
Needed to run dpkg-reconfigure xserver-org and SUPPRESS FRAMEBUFFER
