thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. This isn't
the first report I've seen today involving
debconf: DbDriver "config": /var/cache/debconf/config.dat is
locked by another process
So I'm starting to suspect something fishy is going on, but just to make
sure, can you (a) tell us exactly what you were doing (i.e. using 'apt-get
upgrade', using
synaptic to upgrade, or something else) and (b) paste the output of
ps -ef
into this bug report so we can check whether synaptic or a hung dpkg is
causing this?
