Hi Jim, I am now running Feisty, and this bug got fixed for me since I upgraded to Edgy. Under Dapper the place left of the touchpad used to be really hot all the time and the fans would come on quite often as stated above, but now everything is really cool :-) Never have heard the fans since then. Don't know if it is still usefull if I do these tests under Fiesty, let me know. I remeber reading something that low latency kernels were used in dappper and earlier and not in Edgy and later. Might got something to do with it.
