Hi Fabio I took the plunge and went for a clean install with 10.04 and it installed perfectly.
Didn't bother trying side by side. Tried to install side-by-side with 8.04 and the install process fails at about 49%, copying files less than 1 minute remaining. I have installed SUSE Open Linux 11.0 successfully so noproblem with hardware!!!!
