Hi Fabio

I took the plunge and went for a clean install with 10.04 and it
installed perfectly.

Didn't bother trying side by side.

Cheers,

John.

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete

Bug description:
1. release of ubuntu - 9.04 64bit
2. version of the package - n/a trying to install
3. Install completes successfully
4. Install failed.

Further information:

System Specs:

Motherboard: Asus P5N32-E SLI, BIOS 1205
Processor: Intel Q6600
Memory: 8Gb
Raid Controller: AMCC/3Ware 9650SE-12ML KIT
Hard Drives: 12 x 500Gb Carved up as:

    100Gb boot
    2000Gb Auto carve
    2000Gb Auto carve
996Gb Auto carve (or whatever was left)

100Gb is non raid, rest is in raid 5.

8.04 is installed on 100Gb.

Tried to install side-by-side with 8.04 and the install process fails at
about 49%, copying files less than 1 minute remaining.

I have installed SUSE Open Linux 11.0 successfully so noproblem with
hardware!!!!
