Hi Pedro, Well I can confirm that Evolution mail is working in an installed Ubuntu 10.04 on another computer. I finally got it to work by appending the port number to the server address, as : --
Inwards mail : imap.gmail.com:993 SSL encryption, Password authentication. Outwards mail : smtp.gmail.com:465 SSL encryption, Authentication, Plain I think that some of the problem I experienced was the delay in syncing the folders with the server as I have 971 MB of mail on Gmail. I set up another account in Thunderbird, on my test-bed computer, under Ubuntu 10.04 and it found the right values automatically. This is much more user-friendly and would be what Evolution should aim for, too.
