I downloaded RSSOwl version 1.2.3
rss_1_2_3_linux_bin.tar.gz
from http://www.RSSOwl.org
after choosing Applications->Internet->RSSOwl
the program opens and looks fine.
When checking version I get RSSOwl version 1.2.3
When Checking for updates I get:
You're already using the latest Version of RSSOwl
When clicking on Homepage:
http://www.rssowl.org/ appears opening up mozilla-firefox 2.0.0.3.
When I click on the linux download link:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/rssowl/rssowl_1_2_3_linux_bin.tar.gz?download
The RSSOwl program closes and disappears.
It has done that 4 times, but while writing up this report and retracing the
steps I worked this time.
So thanks, never mind, I'll check in again if it stops working again.
