Ops, sorry for the error. I'm Italian and because Italian and Swiss-Italian layouts are egual I mistakenly thinked that for German-Swiss was the same. Ok, I' ve reproduced the issue on Maverick During the installation I chose German timezone, at the keyboard layout prompt it propose German and is possible, in the left panel, choose Schweiz obtaining the results that Colin Watson describe at #2. See attached screenshot Then in Maverick the problem is fixed. Now I test in Lucid and Karmic. Fabio
