Experiencing the same black screen problem on resume from suspend.
Hopefully the info below helps debugging.
Computer info:
Desktop pc Acer L310 with Kubuntu 10.4 Lucid Lynx (fully patched)
Problem did not occur when using Kubuntu 9.x and 8.x
