Reading https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/577916/comments/29 made me think hibernation might have something to do with it.
Although the problem occurs (just like https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network- manager/+bug/621983) when booting after a normal shutdown, I did change some hibernation settings. After installing Maverick I ended up with 2 swap partitions one dual boot system (Lucid and Maverick). I changed that with UUID in fstab and /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume and running "update-initramfs -u". So now Lucid and Maverick share the same swap partition (I deleted the other one), but apart from these two bugs (which only occur in the Maverick installation, not the Lucid one), swap and hibernation work, also on Maverick. I'm gonna make a clean Maverick install, not mess with swap partitions afterwards, and see if I still have bug 577916 and 621983. ** Attachment added: "dmesg" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-sound/+bug/621910/+attachment/1514513/+files/dmesg -- After system startup volume indicator is always muted https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/621910 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
