Hi Nick, Does this mean that the first network interface that comes up on your system is not a broadcast interface?
We don't have a way to detect this from /etc/init/nmbd.conf. If you have a point-to-point interface coming up before your broadcast interfaces, that would definitely account for nmbd failing to start.
