Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue
for you? Do you get the same with Lucid or Maverick? Thanks in advance.

Status in “pidgin” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: pidgin
When a user comes online, it appears in the indicator applet; but it
shows time (0 minutes) while it's there. It becomes a problem when 5
user comes online and one of them sends me a message: there are 5
entries, all showing 0m, so I can't know who send the message unless I
wait for the others to disappear.
And according to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MessagingMenu#Empathy, time
shouldn't be shown on contacts who just go online.
