>From here [1] and checking the code in Lucid kernel[2], there is a new
interface that can activate the cpufv function that is not  supported
officially.

   echo 0 > /sys/devices/platform/eeepc/cpufv_disabled

And then switch to performance mode

   echo 0 > /sys/devices/platform/eeepc/cpufv

But be aware of this may freeze your system and I think this is not a bug any 
more, since the function is not supported officially.
I would like to close this bug if you don't have any other issue.
