After installing the latest updates as of approx. GMT 5am, this problem
seems to have gone away. Not all of the ubuntu one services are working
correctly but the system presented me with a signon box after login,
which I haven't seen since I installed the Maverick alpha

I tried the command you sent me and the crash persisted after a reboot.
The issue seems to stem from the python statement "import gobject" which
chokes after trying to find a module named glib._glib

it looks like there are problems in your instalation, as those files
should be there. Can you please try this at the console and report back:

$ sudo apt-get install --reinstall ubuntuone-client

--
ubuntuone-syncdaemon crashed with ImportError in <module>()

Status in “ubuntuone-client” package in Ubuntu: New

Bug description:
Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client

Both of the previous bug reports about this particular bug are in Karmic, not
Maverick.

In my case, this crash happens when I just log in (and in most cases several
times), not when Nautilus crashes and not when I try to open an Ubuntu One
window.

Again: EVERY TIME I LOG IN this happens! This is a regression that needs to be
fixed.

Please also note that when you have an Import Error it usually means that you
are trying to import a class that has syntax errors in it or that doesn't
exist.
