Public bug reported:
I tried the mainline kernel 2.6.36-999 in order to be able to install nvidia
restricted drivers. With 2.6.32-24 kernel I was not able to install the drivers
- see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/574280
However, the new nvidia driver 195... could not be installed.
