Public bug reported: Hi MOTU developers.
This bug report is copy of Debian Bug#591731, http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=591731 Summary: * mozc is included dictionary file that based "ipadic" * "ipadic" has recasted-ICOT Free Software license. * recasted-ICOT Free Software license is DFSG non-free. (see also: Debian Bug#220358) * mozc is not DFSG free. It must remove from debian/main. see also: http://code.google.com/p/mozc/issues/detail?id=20 So, we assume obligation for this bug. However, - Nobuhiro Iwamatsu(mozc's Debian developer) said, he will upload Debian/nonfree in near feature. - mozc is useful IMengine for Japanese users. IMHO, mozc is better than anthy. - mozc is DFSG nonfree, but, that is enough to "Free Software"... It seems like firefox/iceweasel problems. - it is still acceptable for our multiverse, possibly acceptable for universe. Now, therefore, I suggest that mozc displacement to ubuntu/multiverse from universe in maverick archives. Could you please handling it? ** Affects: mozc (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- mozc:: displacement from debian/main => debian/nonfree https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/624512 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
