Solved this issue. For a previous kernel it was necessary to have the following modprobe configuration:
options iwlagn disable_hw_scan=1 swcrypto50=1 swcrypto=1 This seems to break the driver in the new kernel. However, without the options it works fine. -- Microcode SW error detected.
