Sorry, I just reread that report don't pay attention to my previous comment.
You have 2 solutions: 1. upgrade from 7.04 to 7.10 to 8.04 from http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/releases/ then to the latest 8.04 then a release upgrade from LTS to LTS to Lucid. Well, that may work that may not work. It will take a lot of time because you'll have to go through 4 releases and the result is uncertain if you have installed specific software. 2. backup your data, configuration files, and every piece of software which is important to you, download the latest ISO which was released last week (10.04.1), install from scratch and restore your data. Solution 2 is faster and if the installation fails you can replay it easily. I'm closing this report because its not a bug, you'd better use a support channel like #ubuntu on IRC, a forum or the answer tracker. ** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- package update-manager 1:0.87.31 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: SystemError in cache.commit(): installArchives() failed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/622105 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
