Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

I'm having a problem with mpc files (but it probably applies to some other
media formats...): when I go into properties of a file and try to change the
tags, the properrties open normally, I can select the text, but I can't edit it
– whatever i type does absolutely nothing. This can be extremely frustrating,
especially if the user is not even aware of the fact the file is in a different
format (I myself discovered it only after stumbling into the issue a bunch of
times). Similarly, rhythmbox has a feature that automatically encodes audio
transferred to an external music player into a format indicated by the
is_audio_player file, but when drag&dropping mpc files onto a player... nothing
happens! not even a prompt!
the lack of support for those actions is a big issue by itself, but I'm not
reporting it yet, since it might be an issue that can be solved by installing
additional packages, however, the fact Rhythmbox reports absolutely NOTHING
about even the OCCURANCE of the issue (not to mention explanation on how to
solve it, if possible...) is a pretty serious usability issue.

** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
