I have the final ubuntu 10.04 (64-bit version) installed and it was not able to burn an ISO image to a CD. (I do not know if it was CD-R or CD+R). I was using brasero of course. It was just showing "preparing CD to burn" or something like for an half an hour or so.
The CD medium and ISO file itself were surely absolutely OK because, after the failure of ubuntu 10.04, I plugged the medium into another machine with LinuxMint Helena (also 64-bit) and it burnt the same ISO image with brasero like a breeze in a short while. This problem possibly does not affect all optical media types as I was able to burn (another ISO) at least to a DVD+R medium on the ubuntu 10.04. This also implies that my DVD drive is physically all right and all the problem is due to a bug in lucid software. -- brasero fails to write iso image (10.04 lucid) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/530336 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
