Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gpointing-device-settings
On Lucid (10.04), I set "Disable touchpad while typing" in
System/Preferences/Mouse settings. I works (the touchpad is disabled while
typing and during around 1 sec aftwards).
I install gpointing-device-settings 1.3.2-2 and I set "Touchpad off" in
System/Preferences/Pointing devices. It works (the touchpad is disabled).
Now I type some text in a gnome-teminal. After 1 second without keyboard input
the touchpad becomes active.
Workaround: Don't set "Disable touchpad while typing" and set "Touchpad
off" => The touch pad is off.
