Public bug reported: Binary package hint: system-config-printer
As reported in Bug #625916, I have print jobs that appear on http://localhost:631/jobs/ as held with the status "Unable to write print data: Broken pipe", but system-config-printer-applet shows these jobs as "Processing" and does not update to "Held" unless I manually refresh. This appears to me to be two bugs: 1) A job with a broken pipe should probably be cancelled/aborted with an error instead of held. 2) A held job should appear with status "Held" in the applet. I can reproduce this reliably by trying to print from Flash, due to Bug #625916. I don't know how to force a job to be held manually, so I can't give steps to reproduce in general, if Bug #625916 doesn't affect you. The applet shows the state properly if "Option job-hold-until indefinite" causes the job to be held immediately on creation.
