alternative (considered more dangerous, and harder to maintain long-
term)

maintained in Ubuntu
UI Standards: Package does not appear to use standard translation
templates. Package ships many .desktop files, each of which includes
some translation in the source files.

Standards Complaince: package provides KDE plugins, in KDE-required
locations. Appears fully compliant with all relevant standards.
Maintenance: upstream is very active, active maintainers in Ubuntu
coordinating closely with upstream
