With the alpha 3 livecd I never get to a valid gnone-session screen. On
boot, I see the ubuntu splash screen but only sometimes does it progress
beyond that. Sometimes the spash screen stays and sometimes it
progresses to the desktop background but never past that. I do
eventually hear the welcome sound and the mouse pointer shows up and is
responsive. I can switch to a console and see that all of the usual
gnome-session processes are running but the screen never updates.
My video card is an ATI Technologies Inc RV515 PRO [Radeon X1300/X1550
Series] AGP dual monitor setup. This a P4 x86 system.
