steps to reproduce:

 - install maverick from desktop cd
 - sudo apt-get install virt-manager libvirt-bin
 - sudo chmod 1777 /var/lib/libvirt/images
 - /var/lib/libvirt/images ; cd wget 
http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/squeeze_di_alpha1/i386/iso-cd/debian-testing-i386-netinst.iso
 - in virt-manager: setup a new VM, select this iso as installation media.

results:
