Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and help to improve
Ubuntu.
Your report shows that you installed Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, which uses grub2
by default. However, the log indicates that you have uninstalled grub2
in favor of grub1, which has not been configured as a bootloader. To
correct this issue, please reinstall grub2 by running the command 'sudo
apt-get install grub-pc'.
The log also indicates that the removal of grub-pc was done by a manual
request to install 'grub', not the result of the package being pulled in
as a dependency; so I don't think there's a bug here to be reassigned to
another package. Was there a particular reason that you selected 'grub'
for installation?
