If you do not feel comfortable building the dbmeasure software, please let me know and I'll build it and make it available for you.
Could you also do the following: 1. Run this command in a terminal: apport-collect -p alsa-base 540380 2. Update yoru ALSA drivers, as outlined here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/InstallingLinuxAlsaDriverModules Once you have completed the second step, please check the volume controls again, to see whether you have the same incorrect volume adjustment behavior. If you do, we can then use dbmeasure to work out what needs to be fixed. Thanks. affects ubuntu/alsa-driver status incomplete ** Changed in: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- Changing volume is not linear https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/540380 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
