The error in the logs is:
Setting up libpam0g (1.1.0-2ubuntu1.1) ...
debconf: DbDriver "config": /var/cache/debconf/config.dat is locked by another
process: Resource temporarily unavailable
dpkg: error processing libpam0g (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
This indicates that another process has the debconf database open. If
you have not yet rebooted since running into this error, please run the
following command and post the output here:
sudo fuser -v /var/cache/debconf/config.dat
If you have rebooted since this error occurred, please let us know that
as well.
